STEPS TO TINY LIVING
Step 1:
DISCOVERY & DESIGN
Every great tiny home starts with a conversation. In this first step, we take the time to understand what’s most important to you; how you plan to live in your home, what features matter most, and the look and feel you're after. We'll walk you through layout options, storage ideas, energy efficiency, and material preferences to develop a design that reflects your lifestyle. This is your space, and we’re here to help you dream big, no matter the size.
Step 2:
TIME TO BUILD
Once the design is finalized, the building process begins with a solid base. Our houses are built on heavy-duty steel chassis constructed right here in New Hampshire, made specifically for tiny homes. After the chassis arrives in our shop, we frame the home using select-grade studs and CDX Douglas Fir plywood throughout. The structure is bolted securely to the chassis with carriage bolts, then wrapped in house wrap and ice & water shield for a fully weatherproof envelope.
Next, we install Energy Star-rated windows and doors, all made locally by Harvey Industries. Each window and door is flashed and sealed for energy efficiency and long-term durability. Roofing comes next, with your choice of architectural shingles, standing seam, or ribbed metal roofing—all available in a variety of colors. We finish the exterior with PVC trim and your choice of siding: wood clapboard, v-match, shiplap, metal panels, or vinyl, each offering different colors and textures to give your tiny house a custom look.
Step 3:
FINISHING TOUCHES
With the exterior complete, we shift focus inside. All mechanical systems—including plumbing, electrical, gas piping, and HVAC—are completed by licensed New Hampshire contractors, ensuring top-quality and code-compliant work. After rough-in, a NH building inspector reviews and signs off on the work according to the 2021 International Residential Code with Appendix AQ for tiny houses.
Next comes closed-cell spray foam insulation, meeting NH energy code standards. This is also inspected and signed off by a NH inspector to ensure efficiency and comfort in all seasons.
Now it’s time to bring your interior to life: wall and ceiling finishes, LVP flooring, carpeting in lofts, stairs or ladders, cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures, lighting, interior trim, doors, railings, shelving, and any custom built-ins you've selected. Every detail is handled with precision to match your design vision.
Step 4:
DELIVERY & SET UP
Once your tiny home is finished, it goes through one final inspection by a NH building official to certify it as a permanent dwelling in the state of New Hampshire. From there, we coordinate delivery and set-up to your location, handling all transportation logistics and ensuring everything is placed and secured properly.
Your home arrives fully built, fully inspected, and ready for you to move in and start living tiny—with confidence and peace of mind.
